Jehan Begum Mougin is originally a private collector who is thoroughly passionate about ancient art and antiques. Her antique gallery “Heritage of the Orient” was born out of her own private collection. Jehan trained in Paris where she lived and London in the early 80s by attending various short courses and workshops specializing in Asian Art. She later understudied two famous collectors in Asia. Her training, passion, keen eye for detail and a vast network of collectors, curators and friends built over the years have culminated in the opening of her gallery in Kuala Lumpur some 20 years ago.
Her niche gallery, located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, is well known today due to its specialization in museums-quality antiques that hail from Southeast Asia, China, Tibet and Afghanistan.
Teacher, trainer, advisor, facilitator, driven by an intense curiosity for all programs related to Arts and Culture, she is passionate about the ways in which learning can lead to the transformation of business, cultures and individuals.
